So, I kept Thestral who is one of Magician’s daughters, as a breeding doe last year. She just hit breeding age, had a litter of six, and boom. Wound up with gangrenous mastitis!

Her entire stomach went hard and rigid, turned black, and it was the coolest, nastiest thing ever.

She didn’t seem to be in pain though, so we cleaned out the wounds, to see if she could recover.

Well, she did! And has four bouncing kits. I will call her from my breeding program because her litter sizes aren’t big enough, but I love her spunk!
