I got my new dual purpose heritage breed ducklings, the Buff duck. They are good for meat (take 12 weeks instead of 8-9 weeks for the Pekins), and lay a respectable amount of eggs as well.
My juvenile Khaki Campbell’s are just starting to lay, and somebody offered me $20/bird for them. So I jumped at it, because they also bought chicks and 4 dozen eggs. I have a new batch khaki Campbell’s hatching now as well. I qm selling them as fast as they are hatching.
Sounds like a productive bird. I’ll have to look into those.
