There has been a lot of chaos in my life lately… For me, this chaos mirrors Lake Superior. Everything can appear to be calm and smooth, but in reality, the waves can snap an ocean liner no problem!

This pastel portrait represents this. The area in front of the silhouette of the arch is still frozen from a freezing winter, while the recently opened waves come careening over this ice.

The sky, the light angles, everything that reminds me that  the sun will set on the chaos, and rise to opportunity (and probably more chaos).
